It has been identified that the island is home to 91 species of local birds and 50 species of migratory birds. Spread across 10 acres of land, this island is a perfect picnic spot for leisure seekers and nature enthusiasts. Some of the common species found on the island include Purple Heron, Pintail Ducks, Indian Pond Heron, Common Teal, Night Heron, Cotton Pygmy-Goose, Cormorant, Darter, Indian Shag, Stork-billed Kingfisher, Whiskered Tern, Little Egret, Bronze-winged Jacanas, Whistling Duck, Little Cormorant and Cattle Egret.
